Although humans change physically throughout life,
the changes which occur during the first four years
are dramatic and eagerly awaited. Muscle skills development
and maintaining a healthy body are especially important
to developmental successes.
Remember, as you read this, that there are individual
differences in the area of physical development ranging
from one month to four to six months for each particular
skill. Your toddler might begin to walk at 11 months
or at 15 months and still be developing normally.
A child who is developing large muscle skills (walking,
clinging) requires an amazing amount of energy. Without
the proper amount of nutrients, your child's muscles
may be weak and slow to develop. It is especially important
that young children receive proper nutrition because
so many changes are happening at once within their bodies.
They may need to be fed more often than adults so that
they have enough nutrients to meet the demand of their
fast growing bodies.

For your growing toddler, Enfamil® NEXT STEP®
LIPIL® offers the essential nutrients, iron, calcium,
protein, and fat necessary to meet the demands of your
growing child. Ask your toddlers doctor about
Enfamil NEXT STEP LIPIL verses feeding whole cows
milk.

You can help your child develop physically by feeding
your child when he is hungry and by helping him exercise
those developing muscles.

Be excited about your toddler's developing skills and
show your child that you are excited! It will encourage
him to try even harder. The old saying that practice
makes perfect is certainly true in this case.
